Kid’s Acting (Ongoing) – Ages 7-12
This class teaches basic Acting Technique to beginning performers ages 7-12. Through various games and exercises, students will be coached in Volume, Diction, Physicality, Improvisational Skills and Teamwork. Students will also participate in In-Class Scene Work to enhance acting skills and trust in their fellow actors. Classes meet once per week and are 4 Weeks in Length for approximately 2 hours. Every student works every class.
Teen Acting (Ongoing) – Ages 13-16
This class is devoted to Acting Technique and Scene Study. In this class, students will go over basic Acting Technique and discover the tools needed to approach a scene. Improvisational Exercises used to enhance one’s Acting Skills will be used to develop a solid approach to Scene Study. Classes meet once per week and are 4 Weeks in Length for approximately 2 hours. Every student works every class.
Adult Acting (Ongoing) – Ages 17 and Up
This class is based on the exercises developed by Sanford Meisner and how they apply to Scene Work. Over the span of this class, you will go over basic Meisner Technique and end each 4 Week Session applying the techniques you learn with a Scene Study. Class meets once per week and are 4 Weeks in Length for approximately 2 hours. Every student works every class.
Private Coaching (Available by Appointment Only) – All Ages
Private Coaching and Audition Preparation is available to all enrolled students by our Elite Group of Instructors. These are often recommended if you are preparing for an audition no matter how big or small the role or project is. Sessions are available in 30 Minute or 60 Minute Sessions.
8-Week Musical Theatre Intensive Workshop (TBA) – Ages 14 and Up
This class is devoted to the development of the Audition Book and Musical Theatre Skills. In each 8-Week Session, students will perform 2 songs in addition to performing a Scene and Duet with a Scene Partner. Each 8-Week Session will conclude with an Industry Masterclass with a Guest who is working in the field of Musical Theatre in teh Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego Areas. Class meets once per week and is approximately two hours in length. Every student works every class.
Industry Master Classes (TBA)
Throughout the year, The Music Hall holds Industry Master Classes where students can participate or be a spectator with an Industry Guest who is an expert in the field. Students must be enrolled in class in order to participate in the Industry master Class as a Participant.
Casting Director and Associate Workshops (TBA)
Casting Director and Associate Workshops are first come first serve workshops that include a Cold Read with Feedback and a Q&A Session with a Casting Director/Casting Associate that is actively casting projects in Film, Television, and Theatre. Casting Workshops are “audition only” for participants and on a first come first serve basis.
Please note that Casting Workshops held at the Music Hall are for educational purposes ONLY. The Music Hall does not promise auditions or employment opportunities with Casting Personnel invited to Casting Workshops. Casting will also not take home any contact information or Headshots and Resumes. Any Headshot and Resume given to Casting during the workshop will be for feedback purposes only and returned at the end of the workshop.
